My head was full of Irish Linen Shirt production, and then!

When I woke up last Friday morning, my head was full of Irish Linen Shirt production — fabrics, finishing touches, and a checklist that never seems to end. I had no idea that by the evening, I’d be standing in a room of 450 people, surrounded by energy, ambition, and some of the most inspiring businesses in Wexford.

Life at Fashion Connect Ireland moves fast. It’s a creative machine with many moving parts — and our label, Linen Shirt Company, is just one of them. But here’s the beauty of it: when one part of this place gets a win, the whole building seems to glow.

That evening, the glow was real — and it came from the Wexford Chamber Awards, held at the iconic Whites Hotel. The atmosphere was electric. You could feel the excitement the moment you stepped into the room. 450 people gathered, all celebrating local innovation, resilience, and growth. It was an honour just to be part of it.

Of course, I wore Irish linen. Representing our craft felt even more special on such a night — the soft tailoring, the quality of the fabric, the story woven into every seam. Making in Ireland is everything I believe in, and always so proud to wear our work in public.

I was a finalist in the Start-Up Business of the Year category — and I want to say a huge congratulations to all the finalists who stood beside me. Every single business in that category brought something unique and powerful to the table. It was inspiring to be among such passionate people building new ventures from the ground up.

Awards like this aren’t just about recognition. They’re about reflection. They remind us of how far we’ve come, and — maybe more importantly — how much more is possible. To Win the Award is extremely special to our who team.

Back at Fashion Connect, the celebration continued. Because that’s what this place is about — community, connection, and championing each other’s wins.

Thank you to the Wexford Chamber for a night we won’t forget. And to everyone on this journey with us: we’re only just getting started. I wonder what surprise is currently in the ether on the way to us here.

Stay tuned!
